Title: Hyper Cell Skid - anticipation
Post by: Metal_rules on November 27, 2014, 04:42:47 PM
So what are your thoughts on this ball. I believe Roto has a winner on deck. I am so glad they are giving us a "re-birth" cell pearl with the nucleus core. It should really kick some pins around!  I know its hard to replace the Critical Theory, but just maybe this could? And how much different will it be than the original cell pearl? Whats your thoughts?

I'm excited to see the pearl version of the Hyper Cell being released. I find it interesting that RG didn't release a pearl sinister instead. I'm glad they're releasing the Hyper Cell skid instead of a pearl Sinister, because the Sinister didn't roll well for alot of people in my area. They normally come out with a new core and expand on it with a pearl, solid, and hybrid (not always in that order). I wonder if they went back to the cell core because the Sinister didn't meet expectations. I guess time will tell.

I'm also looking forward to the Unhinged. I didn't drill a Hysteria, but I'm going to definitely drill an Unhinged.

I think the sinister came because they have been testing this cell pearl redo for quite some time....there are like 4 cell pearl's over seas... All visually better too.  I think they really wanted to pin point the cover to be exactly what the want.

Hyper Cell Skid is out an about for tryout. Storm/Roto Grip demo days held at Town Line Ten Pin in Malden,MA on Saturday, Dec 6th had Hyper Cell Skid, Crux, Unhinged,Hybrid Solid,
Hysteria, IQ Nano and even a Pitch Black.
Loved the reaction from the Skid...loud cracking strikes on a 10 board shot. Went as long as I needed.
Might turn into a normal progression.....Hyper Cell to open up the lanes, the then Skid to finish.

The ball looks pretty good from the video i've found, managed to edit a couple of shots of the original Hyper Cell in with it and looks like the two will compliment each other very well.

Can't wait to get my hands on this bad boy!
