How do these two balls compare? I really miss having a pearl asymmetric that has a nice backend reaction. I only have one asymmetric with a non exotic layout. I kinda regret not getting the Virtual Energy when I had the chance and I was hoping there is something out there that is pretty close. Also considering a Crux Pearl, and 900 Global Dream.

Well I just got a Skid to replace my Virtual Energy. I can't give a great comparison yet, I'm 2 months removed from shoulder surgery and just started bowling 2 weeks ago with a 13lb ball.
I threw the Skid for the first time last night, my first time throwing a 15lb ball after my surgery. The Skid definitely has a quick change of direction downlane and a lot of energy at the pins.
The layout is approximately 45 x 5 x 45. I was almost seeing a hook set motion

I got a dream big and for me its a damn good VG replacement. I could only imagine it's R2X wrapped around that core for the big and regular dream.
I'd go 900 dream! Easy answer for me...

I'm waiting for the dream and dream on to go on special....then I'll scoop both up

For me the Skid is just a awesome ball -- It really has some power when it hits. I have 2 pin up/down -- the ball clears the heads with ease, then just explodes the rack!

Also considering the new Critical. I had the original, but I was nowhere near as good as I am now. I didn't understand ball motion as much or bowl on sport patterns.
The Skid caught my interest when Fagan was throwing it to win a major. I don't see as many now for some reason.

I think the dream would be slightly weaker overall. I'd say the dream is more like the gravity shift. If you could duplicate the 1500 Polish storm oob surface on a dream on I think it would be extremely close......

Is the Skid and Crux Pearl that bad to were they wouldn't be great complimentary balls? I have a ball link to Storm and Roto.
