Title: HyperCell Surface sweet spot?
Post by: MK on March 13, 2014, 01:03:57 PM
I love my HyperCell (65x5x40) and its continuous read and hitting power.  However, the OOB 2000 surface is too much for me on THS.

For those of you that also have the HyperCell, what have you found to be the "happy point" for surface?  I am about to try 4000 in tonights league.

Hyper Cell is a lot of ball for THS.

Mine is 40x5x35 p3 and it was way way too strong for my Ths. Which is 40ft 25ml on brand new synthetics, they play very slick. There are many higher end oilers being used every night and they don't beat the shot up since there's no friction built in the lanes yet. I was using a Disturbed at OB surface.

I went to 500/1000/2000/3000/4000 and it was better but not great. I plugged the P3 and it got way better. I'm now throwing it at 500/1000/2000/3000 and it's still stronger upfront than any ball I've ever thrown. The ball still hits like a freight train and carries awesome. I've been throwing two full games and then dropping to my asylum in that league with good success

Yes, the Hyper seems to be a bit much ball for a THS.   Just seems like there could be a better ball selection, even for a higher volume THS.

Hyper Cell is typically just fine for my THS on wood.  On one of hose weird weather days, and the lanes play dry, it's too much, but standard is just fine.   use mine oob 2000.  Almost thinking of taking it to 1500 now that there's about 60-70 games on it.
