Noticed on the approved list that the Idol was listed as Idol Magenta and there was another one approved the same day under Idol Lime green. Has anybody any news of this or were they just still deciding which colour to release? haven't seen any overseas news of it either

Probably testing both colors... usually brighter colors, non red or black get down lane better, but darker richer colors can achieve greater hook potential--in comparison.

Maybe it's a sanded pearl, and it's coming soon, a la no rules and no rules pearl

Magenta idol has been a huge success for roto grip, so you know a pearl, and hybrid are right around the corner.

There was a facebook live stream with Mark Buffa, Doene Moos, and Chris Schlemer where they mentioned a green version. It was a test ball. They decided to change colors when they found out the Beyond Ridiculous was coming. They joked about not wanting to be accused of copying.

They picked the right ball, the beyond rediculous is beyond ugly. And I love the pyramid pathogen!!
