Title: Interesting wording for Mars release
Post by: greenefam on March 02, 2009, 04:04:03 AM
From the Mars page on Rotogrip.com

Does this mean the end of the planet line?  I have to guess so since they've been through all the legitimate planet names except Uranus, which I seriously doubt they'll touch...

They don't have a hair on their azz if they don't come out with the Uranus.

I think it's great that they're stopping the planet line before the Uranus.

I can just hear it now at the pro shop. "How do you want Uranus drilled?" or "I can always plug and re-drill Uranus if you like."

The best slug and grip combo would be a brown slug and pink grips for the Uranus.

Care and maintenance of Uranus:

1. Make sure to regularly clean Uranus as dirt will clog up the pores.  You may want to give Uranus a hot water bath on occassion.

2. Don't expose Uranus to extreme hot or cold temperatures as doing so increases the chance of cracking.

I recently added the new Roto-Grip ball to my line up. My new RotoGrip stayed in my bag one night, so while cleaning up after league, I placed my balls next to Uranus.

Uranus is just so tight on my fingers. That's why I didn't use it.

If this ball does come out, I'll work at a pro shop for the day, for free. Especially since I know all the customers love smelling the Storm balls.

"Ooh, what's this one, and why does it smell like shame after a long night of drinking? Possibly the left over scent of a confused young man."

"Why, that's Uranus. The ball personalizes its smell to the most recent activity that was done with yours!"

I say come out with the Uranus. Most people don't pronounce it anyways since everyone makes a joke out of it. It's correctly pronounced "Yur-ein-us".

What does the Star Ship Enterprise and toilet paper have in common? They circle around Uranus wiping out Klingons. (Old, but still great!)

So what can we expect from this ball color wise? If it has a lot of backend, and it's grey, we'll nickname it "The Elephant".

Come on, Uranus on an already established planet line of balls would be the single easiest/greatest marketing idea ever.  I would be able to sell them by the case load.  A lower line ball like that for younger crowd of bowlers.  It would just be too easy.
