Future High Performance Roto Grip Ball Maybe????
« on: February 20, 2013, 02:27:27 PM »
I went to a tournament this past weekend and heard some guys talking about Roto Grip releasing another high performance ball.  Anyways, Two men were talking about RotoGrips High performance balls. The older man said he was excited about Rotogrips next high performance ball. The younger fellow said, "The Defiant soul has been out for a time now. I am surprise you dont have one but yea, my Defiant Soul is pretty awesome". The old man immediately said, "No. I already have one of them. My sources say this ball is way better than the defiant line." I was wondering if anyone else has heard about this "new ball"?

IIRC, the Defiant Soul came out last month. Is there really already a latest and greatest being produced?!?!?!

More importantly, is there a need?

If they and Storm stick to past form, the next high end ball should be in time for Bowl Expo.

I would look for them to put out a solid in the HP 2 line next since they only have the Wrecker and Shatter in it. I would also count on something pearl in the HP 3 line since they have a new block in the solid Disturbed to work with. Their also is room for a hybrid in the HP 1 line with the Scream and Shout sitting there.

Gotta give the Sync time to sell first.

The sync is not roto grip. This is a perfect example. Roto grip made the Cell orginal Storm made the Virtual Gravity.

Yes, that I know... But rarely does Storm and Roto Grip release a new High end ball exactly at the same time.  Sales Cycle.....business 101 type of stuff...

Defiant Soul and the sync aren't too far apart.

From a hook standpoint, they are far apart.

I wouldnt say the cell like was 3 and out. I would put the Mutant and rogue as part of the cell line.

My guess is a pearl comes out in that line with the Middle Roll 70 core that the Disturbed has.  I could potentially see a new hybrid in that same line since the Berserk has been out for a while now.

Another guess is now that the Shatter and Wrecker are part of the HP2 line, I could see a new solid at some point to replace the Shooting Star.

Um..cell, cell pearl, rogue cell one line same core

New core, mutant cell, mutant cell pearl

I kinda see it as something similar as the transition from the shift line to the gravities, different core but people still associate it with being from the same line.  I got a way different ball motion being that I threw em all..I see them as different but roto rode the "cell's" coattails into the next season/line..long story short i still say new line for bowl expo!
