Roto Grip Critical Theory
« on: November 16, 2011, 07:09:45 AM »
This might be the most popular ball at the WSOB amongst Storm/Roto Grip staffers.  They seem to be going down lanes everywhere, and I saw even Norm Duke pull one out.  It's been out for a couple months now so, I was wondering if people are loving it on house shots as much.

No, No, No, I cant say I like mine anywhere on THS....neither do 4 of my friends or quite a few of the BR members, with your post im starting to think it was designed for the staffers.  Dont get me wrong here, they gotta make tour balls too!  Its got a spot in my bag, but it rarely gets used..

I think the issue is just changing the surface, im going to go with 2000 plus polish..hopefully itll be a stronger infinite which i love!

Don't throw strikes, throw BOLTS!

In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid
Coming soon...???

I disagree STRONGLY! I have a vanilla drilling(pin above bridge, MB at 45degrees). And, maybe that has something to do with it, but I love mine. Very consistent, predictable and moves quite a bit for a pearl.  It's about 5 boards weaker than my Alpha-max, with a similar drilling. It is VERY similar to my old Virtual Gravity. I don't see many of them being used in my town though. the don

it is strong! I agree but having all of the cell, mutant cell, and theory line, this one is quite different...

There has been quite a few posts on changing the cover on this ball...I have posted on 3 of them now...you dont see many people post issues on here consistenlty about one ball, and I dont remember roto having this many posts...

I personally feel bad because my friends and I bowl in "have-a-ball" leagues and we get a free ball at the end of our summer league....I reccommended this ball to all of them...and now they all use their old crap instead of their new CT lol....

This ball never even goes in my bag for ths leagues.  Way too strong for the track area.  Starts up a lil too late to play across the flood.  But a ths is not what its intended for!  Pin up slightly to the right, cg and mb kicked out with medium hole

1 of my teammates has this ball and usually if it even comes out, it sees 1-2 games max.  A lot of times it tends to be very strong in the track area and my teammate usually has to go much deeper than most of us.

The Critical Theory is a good ball, but needs to have the right conditions to use it effectively.

I love mine when I can throw it.  I agree with alot of what has already been said.  I am a stroker, 16mph. I drilled mine 60x5"x45 which puts the pin just above my ring finger.  It is a very strong ball but it gives me a reaction and a roll that i have been missing in my bag for awhile. But as one reviewer said and I have learned since getting the ball, you HAVE to know when to put it away because it is so strong.
