MUTANT CELL = CONFIDENCE

i bought my first roto ball when the mutant came out ---- at first i was not sure i made the right pick because i left the ball oob -- but with a surface adjustment the ball just KICKED. i was so impressed i now have a 2nd mutant.  #1 has a  5x3 drill  with a 3" pin and surface at aprox 4k --- #2 has a 4x4 drill with a 4" pin left surface dull with a slight polish. what a 1-2 punch i have now. ---- all i can say is if you dont have a mutant, then ill be glad to bowl against you.  beware of the the mutant -- way to go roto grip!

The Mutant Cell is my first roto ball as well, and I'm also pretty damn impressed with it.  I gave it a 50* 5.5 40* layout on it.  With the 2000 OOB finish it only lasted maybe 1 1/2 games before I'm on the gutter-Damn THS.  Took it to 4000 and now get a much longer look with it.  

What really gets me is though it uses quite a bit of energy midlane, that it still has enough to come back solid, regardless of the angle I use.  If it wasn't for the Invasion, I'd have a second one drilled a bit more aggressive.

Agree with the above 100 percent! I had a cell, rogue cell, cell pearl, and I just could never get the Roto stuff to carry the corners! I was using a jigsaw and decided to try my dads Mutant cell... and the rest is history. Now that it has lane shine to it, I can use it most all 3 games by just taking hand out of it and increasing my speed. I have averaged 220 consistently ever since I purchased the ball. The thing is really insane, and it has me looking at Storm/Roto again!
