Shout first impressions
« on: November 25, 2012, 08:43:34 PM »
My shout is drilled with the pin under the bridge and the cg just above and right of the thumb with no hole.  I've thrown it some in practice and the last game in my normal house in box condition.  With the box finish, I found the ball to be a little squirty on me, but if I threw it good, I got good results.  I sub in a couple of houses that have really been hooking which is why I bought this ball.  Used it last week at one of these houses after hitting it on the spinner with a new 4000 pad.  Lanes were again flying and I ended up being a little farther left than I like to be but not as far as I would have been with my other equipment.  The ball was very smooth and allowed me to have a very controllable shot to the pocket.  I was struggling with getting the ball off my hand cleanly for the first two games but finally started throwing it better the last game.  Ended the night with a 668 which was high on the pair and only left 1 ten pin all night.  Carry was excellent and would have probably shot even better if I wasn't struggling with my release the first two games.  I think the 4000 surface is going to be the way to go with this for me.  Looks like another win for Roto Grip!
