if you are looking for roto grip their hook rating system has been accurate for me and straightforward in basic terms. They have 4 general categories - HP4 - heavy oil or high performance- HP3 - Medium-Heavy oil - HP2 - Medium-Light Oil- HP1 - Light Oil. I personally would choose a ball from their HP3 and HP2 line. Depending on if you see more of should dictate your third ball. Dry conditions choose one from their HP1; if you see more oil choose one from the HP4 line. I have a rumble and scream, for the most part i can play all day with those two, but a lot of guys seem to be tearing up with asylum.

im thinking maybe outcry...and shout...thinking hysteria to much ball but being left handed see more oil longer....so three balls would be hysteria,outcry,shout...

If it is 41 feet and you're a stroker, you'll love the strong midlane roll from the HP-3 line. I have a high track and I'm on the higher rev/low speed side and the Disturbed is great for me on longer patterns. I would try one or the Asylum as an option for the fresh.

Asylum should be your "A" ball, then follow that with an Uproar as you "B." Then, I would pick up an Outcry as you blend piece for nights where the Asylum is too strong and the Uproar goes too long. Those are 3 rocks that will complete any medium oil arsenal.

yea asylum, uproar, outcry....what if i took rumble instead asylum....think that would work to

I double thumbed my Rumble, and it is strong and semi angular. The issue I have is the low diff does not allow the ball to truly pick up in the mids. The Asylum would fix that issue. Hope some of this helps! 8)

Ty helps alot

Asylum is one of the most UNDER rated balls of all time. This ball should be in everyone's bag! If you like the OutCry, go for it and the Asylum. Your third ball should be picked according to if you would typically need more ball than the Asylum (Hyper Cell or possibly Sinster), or less ball than the OutCry (UpRoar or possibly a Scream).

completely agree here. The new Roto stuff should ship this week for staff guys. So expect some updates in the coming get weeks!

This will boil down to what the lane conditions are that you are bowling on. I have a wide assortment (see profile) to choose from, but for house shots, the three balls that I use the most are, Defiant Soul -- Asylum -- Uproar. I can't stress the fact on how good the Defiant Soul is. I am sure the new releases will be just as good.

The Sinister is a stronger Soul. Touch more mid, with more punch through the pocket. The Hysteria is a mix of the HyRoad and Nomad Dagger. Predictable, easy length and a nice motion off the spot. And the OutCry is great for the wet dry situation we sometimes see. Or for just playing straighter through the fronts with a smoother down lane motion. 3 great pieces at 3 different price points.
