Title: Loved the Quest leaving the 7-10 on National TV...
Post by: 302efi on October 28, 2007, 05:37:09 AM
Great way for Roto to be advertised on TV

The little "Perterson vs Robot" skit during the Masters.

Last shot picks up the quest and leaves 7-10

Just for your info the ball didn't hit the pocket, it went up the nose.  It just shows how much hook the ball has.  It wasn't a good shot that left the 7-10...Just so you know!!!

Also guys Randy only shot like 50 balls or something like that, they were trying to get a solid 8 pin as in the worst break in bowling that ernie schlegel vs. randy pedersen back in the 90s.  But, they did get a 7-10 instead.

Damn that would have been funny.  The only thing that could have made it funnier would be if they had Dave Ryan reminding him of the two times he went to the ToC with a real shot at getting his exemption back and losing.  Especially that 10-pin that cost him the tie with Duke.  It would have been just like last season every time Duke was in the booth.

"Since Chris Barnes is in the championship round, joining us in the booth today is none other than Norm Duke.  You remember Norm, right Randy?  He's your next door neighbor and he beat you in the ToC last year by one pin.  Do you remember that, partner?  Hey, what's that gun for?"

You know I was thinking that happened.  I was thinking I bet he threw a bunch of balls and could get that solid 8.  It only happens when you need it to win a title

I dunno, I've never had a shot to win a title, but I've left a ton of solid 8 pins.  The surefire way to leave one:  be struggling and lost for several frames, and finally throw one flush.  9 times out of 10, that flush shot will leave a stone 8, or stone 9.  At least for me (and the rest of my team) anyway...
