Jigsaw Vs Track 930t or Mutant Cell
« on: December 10, 2009, 10:54:32 AM »
I have sold my morich Frenzy, and I need something that will handle oil and have an earlier roll then my C-System. How would these 3 compare to each other. I am looking for predictability over overall hook as I have plenty of hand. What I mean is, I would take a roll over a hockey stick reaction as the latter tends to lead to an erratic reaction. Let me know what you guys think.

I own a Jigsaw and i know a guy that throws both a Jigsaw and the Mutant Cell, there is no comparison here, the Mutant is easily stronger than the Jigsaw

as for the 930T, i havent seen one thrown and all i know is that is particle

I think the 930T is what you're looking for.  From what I've seen in videos of these balls, that seems to be the most predictable followed closely by the Mutant.  To me it would be more a matter of brand preference or whether you mind particle.

is the mutant stronger than jigsaw down lane as well?
was thinking of getting one or the other for the longer and/or heavier patterns

I have seen quite a few jigsaws and mutants thrown on college patterns. The Jigsaw has not impressed me at all to say in the least, even thrown by decent players. The mutant is very strong in the midlane and still has a strong backend to compliment it. I have not seen any 930T but either that or the Mutant would be your best bet.

I've owned both the jigsaw and the 930t. They were both drilled differently but for me the 930 hooked more, it was stronger downlane and much much more continuious through the pins. I am amazed that I can loop the lane with something dull and so strong and still have it keep so much energy through the pins. The Jigsaw on the otherhand I was not a fan of in the slightest. It was so condition specific and seems to be that way for most people I've talked to about it that own it. I've had to try 8 to 10 different surface adjustments and it was always way too early or not enough.

Jigsaw is very popular in our league. I and another bowler use the 930t. There is no comparison between the two balls. The 930t handles more oil, covers more boards, and seems to be more controllable. The Jigsaw is good when the shot has broken down, but needs some oil up front.

930t will surprise you. Dull ball, strong cover that moves off the dry but does not burn out. I don't recall seeing any ball like it. Closest I can recall is the Cell, but the 930t retains more energy down lane when the shot is somewhat dry for a heavy oil ball.

Those that can do. Those that can't complain. Pimpin ain't easy, but it's mandatory.
