Replacement for the Silver Streak Pearl
« on: October 08, 2005, 01:45:34 AM »
I currently have the Silver Streak Pearl and am looking to replace it with something similar. I have looked at the RS-1 and the RS-X. Which is most similar to the Silver Streak Pearl? What is the main difference between the two?

Although I have not thrown the SSP I do own the RS1 and 2 RSX's . From talking with Roger at Roto Grip the RS1 was designed to replace the SSP. I like it on the right conditions but I believe I still prefer the RSX as it will handle a little more oil and is a little more versitle. I actually would recommend both. Especially for the price, you get high price hit at a midline price. I believe one of the main differences you will see is the SSP was designed for dry to medium where the RS1 is for Medium, I believe it has a stronger move at the break-point. Good luck.

Get an RS-1 to replace your SSP. I have both and I find the RS-1 to be a touch stronger than the SS Pearl and perhaps a very slightly earlier breakpoint. Carry with both balls is outstanding.

I bowled with Mark this past Summer. To say his carry with the RS-1 was outstanding is a vast understatement.

The RS-1 is THE ONE AND ONLY replacement for the Silver Streak Pearl.

In my view the RSX is more similar it has that great entry angle of the SSP mine is drilled pin over Bridge cg out and its still somewhat strong and will handle some carry down.
My current lineup
Mercury
RSX
RSP- This one is really good aswell
Epic

Good luck
And if you want to try the RSX I have a new one 15lb Id give ya a deal on.
