Pluto vs. SD73
« on: January 21, 2008, 12:17:27 AM »
Just wondering if anyone can compare the Pluto and the SD73? I know the SD73 should be stronger than the Pluto, but I would like hear from those who have thrown both. Thanks for the help.

Huge difference. Like 10-15 boards, possibly more...SD-73 is earlier and much stronger on the back...Pluto gets good length with a very smooth backend (but still strong ENOUGH) reaction...

Your comparison is like taking a Shelby and having it race against a Hyundai. Or a tiger fighting a sweet little kitty-cat.

Be nice Rev...

I'm sure erh300 is a huge fan of their SD73 and wants a reaction similar to that, but on drier lanes...

Actually, I do have an SD73 and I do like it. I was thinking of getting a Pluto to replace it (for no good reason, because the SD works fine) and ,if the Pluto was as sneaky strong as the Neptune, I figured it might be comparable with the same surface prep and drilling. The recurring illness called newballitis often causes these questions to arise. Thanks for the help.

Well, the Pluto is sneaky strong, but not nearly as strong as the SD...

And, Andy...I was playing nice. Sorry erh300 if my earlier post came off wrong; I was trying to be a little humorous.

revTrex,
No problem. I understood. Basically, what you said is what I was telling myself. I just needed someone else to say it. Like I said, newballitis.
I even pm'd achappy and he pretty much told me the same thing.
