Title: New Ball Review Videos - Sinister and Hysteria
Post by: TamerBowling on July 25, 2014, 11:32:25 PM
Here you go.  We tested and reviewed the new pieces.
They are really fantastic.
Sinister, think more punchy Defiant Soul...
Hysteria, think Nomad Dagger...

Fun stuff!

100% agree with these reviews. They are spot on for both! The Hysteria is going to be the benchmark piece a lot of people will find themselves throwing!

Great review - love the detail you put into the effort.  Your mention of the Nomad Dagger leads me to ask if you can provide a little guidance on how the Hysteria will stack up against the RG Berserk. I have had the Berserk for about a year now and have shot well on the THS.  Looking to update to the new RG stuff and just don't know where the Berserk fits into the history of RG HP3 balls.

The Hysteria is stronger and smoother than the Berserk.  With similar layouts, I found my Berserk either skid/flip or skid... I really liked it on some conditions but not so much on others.  The Hysteria just seems like a completely different animal to me.  It's actually strong enough to be just slightly higher than benchmark strong for medium rev players, meaning it's actually going to be on the strong side for medium conditions so you might look for weaker equipment underneath.  The Berserk would clearly be underneath, just don't think it's the same shape movement.  Even with surface, the Berserk had the kind of "off the cliff" reaction, meaning it reacted after the end of the pattern, for me anyway.
