Pluto vs. Natural
« on: August 14, 2009, 04:55:13 AM »
I picked up a Pluto on trade and have a new Natural on the way. The Pluto is drilled pin up, and the pin is roughly 5 inches from my PAP. I was thinking of drilling the Natural pin under 5 x 3.

I am a stroker, ball speed from 14-16 Quibica. I have a Virtual Gravity and Rogue Cell, both drilled 5 x3 as well. The Virtual is OOB, and the Rogue Cell is 2000 polished with Beans Sauce. I also have a HyRoad, drilled pin under that is at 2000 polished. (Order Virtual, Rogue, HyRoad; I see overlap between Virtual and Rogue, but the polish makes a diffence as I can play the Rogue when the heads burn up) .

Where will the Pluto and Natural fit into my arsenal? How will there reactions differ?

Thanks

Completely opposite ends of the reaction spectrum.

Depending on layout and surface prep you could either put it over or under the Hyroad and definitely over the Natural.  You could possibly put something else over the Natural and under either of those like a Neptune.

The reaction of my Pluto is similar to my Code.  It gets easier length than most solids because of the high RG and low DIF and will cover ground in the back because Sure Grip is not all that weak of a cover.  It works well on all ranges of medium where as the Natural will probably better suit you on lighter and spotty conditions that need blending.

Personally I have found the Pluto to be stronger than advertised

Thanks APK.

I guess I have the Pluto figured wrong. I am hoping to put it under the HyRoad, and over the Natural, so I will start off with 4000 abralon on it and see how that works. Maybe a light polish as well.

I was hoping the ball was on the weaker side, as I have more than enough medium and heavy oil equipment.

Well I have a strong drill on mine but as you said a weaker surface and layout will make a difference.

A friend of mine has one with a milder layout and it works on less than medium just fine.
