bandit help

i just bought a bandit and drilled it pin over middle with the cg in the palm, throw it and it just goes dead straight, tryed multiple lines with no sucsess, i've had this drilling on a couple of balls and they turned the corner just fine, goin to try a different surface next but am just baffle by this... not really sure what to do

What's your regular ball speed? What condition did you buy it for? Were you palying inside, or outside?

 

I have at least three or four, "favorite" drillings that I use. I don't automatically put one favorite on a new ball until I have read all there is about the ball and seen it in play, thrown by others on a particualr condition, before hand.

bought it for light/medium lanes, medium ball speed medium revs, played up 10 and also 15 to 10, reworked the surface, thrown it more and its really coming alive the more i thow it

Sometimes balls just need a little use to sort of "crack the shell".
 
Drillings are also very dependent on the RG. I can see long pins and pin up drillings working very well on low or lower RG balls (like 2.46 - 2.5) but the Bandit's RG is around 2.55, depending on the ball weight. So it's already got a lot of length designed into the core and the surface finish (1500 grit polished). Many times such balls do not "like" both long pins and high pins in the same drilling.

What he (Charlest) said!  Exactly. Somtimes balls just need some time to get a 'track" on them. You'll probably be alright in a few weeks, and loving this piece.

Why wait two weeks?  Hand scuff P4000 and see if it changes the ball reaction/motion.

7448 Lt. Grey is P1500
 
7445 White is between P2000 and P2500.
 
I use SIAAir or abralon for FEPA surfaces mainly and don't use scotch-brite that much any more.  Be sure and clean your pads and throw them out after  you have enough usage from them. 
 
So, I would use a 4000 SIAair or 4000 abralon for P4000.
