House Shot Killer?

Just looking for opinions as to best low to medium house shot killer in the Storm/Roto line... Kind of leaning toward MVP or Hustle Ink. Thank you in advance

2 lefty teammates and I have been completely torching outside of 10 all season long.  Nothing was consistently working for me game 3 until I started moving in and balling up to a Gravity Evolve.  *SPEC can and does work on a house shot after game 1.

True didn't even think of the wrong side (I keed).  Don't bowl with many lefties and none throw SPEC so slipped my mind.  Guess need to avoid the blanket statements but haven't been impressed with what my eyes have seen so far after there is any kind of transition on right side in any of the houses around here.  YMMV.

Thank you for all of the great suggestions. Probably leaning toward an Ink. But I am also interested in the Phaze III, looks very interesting. Last ball I had w RS3 was the Snaplock… Waiting on a response from my PSO..

Thanks.  As someone who has run a pro shop; sometimes you have to be willing to tell someone what they dont want to hear because at the end of the day you are helping them.  If you always tell them what they want, you are the expert and know more than they do.  You could give him the MVP or Hustle.  But if it is too close to the Wrecker or Shatter, then he is an upset customer because it really didnt help him to ultimately achieve what he was looking for and now he is out $150.00 or more and still looking for that "house killer".  So what it boils down to is....is he looking for something to eventually replace one of the other balls or something that can kill house shots yet be different enough to warrant keeping the other 2 balls?

Right now, the Phaze III is the first ball out of my bag on non-cliffed THS.  I am completely digging it on higher volume THS and modified house shots like USBC White.  On totally cliffed THS or when the heads have been fried, I find that it that it is a bit over/under for me.

Not a problem. I agree with you completely, and I’m the exact same way you are sir. It will never be the popularity contest, it will ALWAYS BE what gets the results to get the job done. 👉🏾

You’re the first person I’ve ever seen recommend this ball for house.

This could be because most people think length and backend on house.  The reason I went with the Pro Motion is because his rev rate isnt that high (300-325).  I believe if he stays low end that he is going to have 3 balls that are going to be too close together.  The RG on the PM is still in the low 2.5 area so it wont roll at his feet and with the higher diff it would help with continuation on the back end of the lane and through the pins. 

IF I was his pro shop guy, which I am not; unless he is going to want to replace either the Wrecker or Shatter at some point, to me it wouldnt make sense to put another entry level/mid entry level ball in his hands.  I believe he needs some separation and the PM would give him that without losing control as the PM is not a flippy ball.  Plus, with the OOB surface at 2000, he can adjust the cover up to 3000 or 4000 if he needs a little added push through the front part of the lane.

Your argument would work better for a Phaze 2.  SPEC just is not great on house shot after game 1 regardless of the bowler imo.

Maybe i see more volume than you, but depending on the house, I can use my Prime well into the 3rd game at most houses around here.

I'm slightly rev dominant, got a Honey Badger (Teal) for Christmas and it's already paid for itself and then some. Love that 2 piece carry as well!

Motiv Covert Tank and 900 Global Honey Badger

Covert Tank: You will need to throw a few shots with it to get some lane shine but for me that ball is super good on house. Controllable, not too angular but continuous.

Honey Badger: I have my HB at either 1000 or 2000 grit so it reads a bit earlier but the ball still kicks. on the back end.

At the end of the day it all depends on the house shot length and milliliters that you bowl on and your style but for my style (2 handed) and my house which is sometimes dry, sometimes slick, and rarely in between, these two work the best
