I'm torn
« on: August 11, 2015, 10:45:46 PM »
I really love my Wrecker.  When I heard about the Devour coming out I was excited. Now, I'm not so sure.  What would the benefits be having both?  I would have the Devour drilled the same as my Wrecker

I decided to bite the bullet and get the Devour. I'm looking forward to seeing the difference between this and the Wrecker.  Looking forward to when it arrives.

I threw my Devour for the first time OOB. This was on a typical house shot. The Devour was about 2-3 feet earlier and more even rolling than my Wrecker. The Wrecker for me comes off the spot really hard. They do compliment each other very nicely. I'm looking forward to throwing the Devour more so I can get more of a comparison.

Aren't they OPPOSITE in terms of cover stock and cover prep?

Devour is a solid @ 300p grit abralon

Wrecker is a hyrbid @1500 grit plus polish...
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid
Coming soon...???

Devour is a 3000 grit solid and the Wrecker is a 1500 grit Hybrid polished. The Devour still gets down the lane pretty good for a solid and I like how even rolling the ball is.

So your Wrecker is not sitting on the bench?  My guess is that you will see more condition that the Devour will handle over the Wrecker.

I also have a Wrecker and use it very little....eye balling the Devour big time but need to see how my new IQ Tour does before I look really hard at the. Devour.

No, the Wrecker is not on the bench. I love my Wrecker. I don't see too much volume of oil to use the Devour. I intended the Devour to be more of my heavier volume ball. However, once I get more games on the Devour with practice, that may just change.
