Oracle vs Throttle-R

Has anybody ever thrown both? Which one hits harder and lives longer? Is the Oracle a ball for heavier oil? I like to play around the 10th board and throw a ball to, let's say, board 5. I do that with my Throttle-R but when I go a bit to far to the outside, the ten pin is still there. I don't have that problem with my HotRod, it still strikes when I go a bit to far to the outside. What do you think about the Oracle( or maybe another Rotofrip-Stormbal for medium-heavy oil.

going from a throttle r so an oracle is a huge diff. If you throttle is not moving just quit enough i wouldt go to an oracle.

I would go to a more aggrsive reactive or a partical peral.

What baal would you suggest( storm or rotogrip ball pls )?  I want something a little more aggresive than my Throttle-R as my speed goes up. And off course I'd like to have a good hitting ball

the Apocalypse would last longer than the oracle because the oracle is a particle ball and particle balls tend to burn out their particles and die faster than reactive balls do.  and plus, the Oracle is completely different from the Throttle-r, so I don't really see how you can compare them.  But if you wanted something strong on the backend, then the Apocalypse or even the Silver Streak Pearl (if it had to be from roto grip) would be a good choice.

btw, I have a throttle-r and I love it, and if you wanted something stronger with the same type of movement on the lanes then I would also suggest the Triple X-Factor (the pearl one, NOT the extreme).

Hmm,

Lets see Throttle /R very long  pearl with decent backend pings corners. Hot Rod about the same maybe rolls a touch earlier,  carries good for you. This tells me your Throttle /R probably rolls a bit later than the Hot Rod and gets more entry angle which could be the reason for pinging corners. Oracle is on the opposite end of the spectrum from either of these two balls for conditions to use on Med-light compared to med-heavy for the Oracle). How about a Hot Wire with a bit  of polish or a Razor Wire. If you get something too strong it might burn too much energy unless you can move to an oiler part of the lane.

Having owned both, I can easily say that the Oracle is the better of the two when you get on heavier oil. For a particle the Oracle gets decent length and I have not thrown it and had it NOT finish yet. The Throttle/R will have a stronger breakpoint but when there is carrydown the Oracle will cut through it and the Throttle/R will tend to skate unless it sees dry. Also, when it comes to punishing a pindeck----the Oracle beats down the pins much better than the Throttle/R.

Another point that I have seen mentioned in this post is the coverstock life. Roto's covers hold up well, as long as you keep the ball clean you won't have a problem.
