Roto Flip
« on: July 27, 2007, 03:41:39 PM »
Now I know what Pchee was talking about.  I finally got around to drilling up my Retro Red.  I picked one up for the shipping cost (thanks Tony C!) and found a new competent pro shop.  I put the pin over the middle finger and the CG under my middle finger close to my grip center, around a 5.5 x 4.5.  I sanded it to 600 grit and put on a coat of 1000 grit polish.  This thing will make even a med/low rev guy like myself look like a cranker.  Stand way left, send it out to 5 and let it fly back.  In four games, I think I left five 3-6-9-10's and took the 3-9 off of that four times.  Don't miss in unless you have some pretty good hold.  I always wanted the blue pearl, but if it's any stronger on the back, I wouldn't know where to throw it.

This is the same drilling I have on my Tsunami.  I love it for how smooth it is.  I wanted to try the same drill again to see if the smoothness was because of the ball or the drill.  It's definitely the ball.  This Roto Flip is much stronger on the back.  Fun ball to throw on a THS, but probably not much use on anything flat.  It might have a chance on Viper, but I'm done with that for the summer.
