Roto Grip Sonic BOOM!
« on: June 16, 2012, 07:03:02 AM »
Took this ball out of far away storage bin.  The ball looks weathered and maybe dead.

Took it to my 40 foot house shot that has forced me to play the inside out crown shot with most of todays mass bias balls.!

I was thinking this BOOM ball that was close in core specs to my Icon2 which has worked well at this house with it's mid diff .36 and light load particle coverstock could allow me to move left and get the hit that that the Icon 2 is spotty on!

Boy was I right.  This 4 1/2 X 4 with weighthole (old style) is 9 inches from grip center. (stacked drilling).  Exactly what I wanted.  It allowed me to move from 13 to 8 to 10 to 8 and with the similar flare from farther left is was the END of 7 pins as this smooth powerful pearl pushes longer and then smoothly climbs up high in the pocket.  BOOM!

Can you say BOOM?

I'm very excited about what this mid flare pill can do because the Icon 2 had been so close to being primo!  Have I found Primo?

I'll report back.  By the way I have an old review out there in the review section!

Nothing has changed!  Except the condition.  Wetter inside 10 to 10 but I am arching out to the dirt!

Regards,

Luckylefty
PS even better than my Label leverage drilled and quite loved Tropical Storm pearl, as just a touch more midlane, more flare, less coverstock!  SWEET BOOM!

Same feelings about my control drilled Neptune that I dragged out of the garage.  It was sitting there peacefully in retirement :D.  With the wet-dry shots we have had out here lately, needed something to play out in the dirt and the Neptune fit the bill perfectly.  Start along the oil line out to the dry, nice even arc to the pocket, and spill em :)
