We have gone through and selected the winners...
We had so many submissions so we decided to not only give away the 5 balls but we chose 7 "runner up" submissions and we are giving them one of the new Rogue T-shirts (you can view them at http://www.rotogear.com/p-62-rogue-cell-t-shirt.aspx)
If you weren't chosen, it wasn't necessarily because we didn't like your submission, we had ALOT of duplicates and the first person to put the idea up got the prize.

Not really. I have a meeting scheduled with Hank and Roger to go over the responses later today.
It took me almost a whole day to seperate all of the suggestions. We had over 400 responses and each person submitted an average of 4 or 5 suggesstions...so it was ALOT. The majority of them were repeats, and some were really out there...you know who you are...so I narrowed it down to approximately 200 names that we are going to go over. As for the repeat names I just took the first person to suggest it and they get the credit for it. I probably won't post the winners til later tomorrow...
I know you guys are all going crazy...only one more day!

NO other ball company has given away to us bowlers the amount of stuff Roto has. I along with allot of other people here greatly appreciate what Matt and Roger do and have done for the br.com community..
If they want to post the winners, they can but I don't think they have to prove anything to anyone at this point..
Sorry, but I feel your post questioning the validity of the contest is ridiculous..

As for the threory that this was rigged, If I want to give a ball to someone I don't need to make up a contest to do it. I went back through and looked at your names. Like I posted It wasn't that your ideas weren't good. Most of your names had been previously submitted.
I can't post the names that were chosen because other ball companies do monitor this and we wouldn't want them to use the names we liked. Thanks again guys and we'll see if we can't do something again in the future!

I don't think they're going to let ANYONE know the names they chose. I am a ball winner that had around 10 names suggested and they won't even let ME know which one was picked. All I know is they must've liked at least one of them.
And, as for having some "tie" with Rotogrip, Matt, or Roger, I assure you that is not the case. If it were, I would be asking them for a job because I just lost mine today. Some good Friday the 13th for me, huh?

Thought I would surf ballreviews.com and saw all the posts on this one. The minute Matt posted the contest I thought oh shoot, if any of the other Brands see this they very well could use a name listed. The last thing we want is to work on a campaign and then see another Brand use it.
We were just looking for ideas. The people who won were chosen for the best line concepts. We were looking for more than just a name, but a name that we could use to play off of for a bunch of other balls.
Hank, Matt, and I all sat down and did the best to pick the winners that we felt had some good ideas. Then we decided to give out a few extra t-shirts just because we did have a lot of good concepts provided.
I appreciate all the kind words and hope the winners enjoy and all the contestents enjoyed being a part of it. We will continue to run promotions like this all the time.
