Pearl was very similar to pink hammer in reaction - very good dry lanes ball for it's time. Black solid was dull out of the box and hooked a ton. Never threw the blue solid but it was supposed to be more than the black. Hope this helps FWIW

Are you going to cross a ton of boards? Not necessarily, but if the Gold still worked just fine when I was bowling a few years ago, I see no reason why the Black would not...
