Don't use it. Highly explosive.
See if it's in here.

The solid or the pearl? If the solid the black or the blue? Pearl was very similar to pink hammer in reaction - very good dry lanes ball for it's time. Black solid was dull out of the box and hooked a ton. Never threw the blue solid but it was supposed to be more than the black. Hope this helps FWIW

i just got a black grenade so was it pretty good for the time?

I think my brother has my old Gold Grenade in his basement.

When the Black Grenade came out I carried 3 of them for regionals. It was one of my GOTO balls
-
Thrown my Black Grenade twice this year for a 624, 666. Still works well if dry enough.

Wow, talk about memories. I loved the original black Grenade. This ball still holds my personal record for most strikes in a row - 27. Not sure how it will work on today's oil and lanes, but for it's time it was MONEY.

Are you going to cross a ton of boards? Not necessarily, but if the Gold still worked just fine when I was bowling a few years ago, I see no reason why the Black would not...
