Roto Grip Idol - WWRD 3/9/18

This ball has been discussed elsewhere around here but the actual page is up for it. Solid coverstock coming at 2000 grit out of the box (well, somewhere around there at least). Core numbers of 2.49 RG and 0.052 DIFF for 15 lbs.

And a couple of comments from Schlemmer on Facebook:

"Coming your way March 9th.... prepare to be IDOLized.... newest addition to the HP3 line... new core... new cover... think Haywire with more giddy up down lane!"

"MicroTrax-S18..... newest version of nano technology"

Just in time for Nationals??

I'm quite curious about this release - I had good success with the Haywire two years ago, and the IQ Nano the few years prior to that. I'm hoping the stronger core doesn't cause the ball to be jumpy. Rather I hope the stronger core makes it more continuous.

Now, I'm not a Storm guy, but nothing about Nano says jumpy... Correct me if I'm wrong.

That's exactly what it's gonna do. Continue a bit more when the Haywire couldn't.

Jumpy is the wrong word here, lol. I hope the stronger core (especially that bump up in differential) doesn't make the ball over-responsive to seeing friction. The few shots Schlem posted seemed to respond to friction pretty fast, but it was a generally high-response layout.

Either way, color me purple with excitement!
