290 with my RS/P
« on: March 26, 2008, 12:16:07 AM »
I'm still debating if/when to get a Cell but last night I decided to dust off my RS/P that I haven't used in months for league. In shadow I didn't like the look it gave me so I put it back in my bag. I could have used it but the Freak a Zoid let me play my favorite line from the start. After a 222 and 228 (both games having a mental mistake and an open), I decided to switch balls and pulled the RS/P out to do some comparison and mental note taking.

The last game I shot a 290 with every shot in the pocket. Maybe next week I'll try it all three games, lol.

The differences I saw between the 2 balls even though their layouts are fairly close to each others: The FAZ looks to revs up quickly but goes long with a strong arc, like a flip at the end. The RSP also revs up quickly and started moving sooner (had to move my feet 2 boards left) but with more of a controlled strong arc.

I guess I had to remind myself that old equipment can still have that magic when you put it in the right spot. Thanks Roto Grip!

Congratulations on a nice game and series.  Nothing wrong with older equipment.
