Roto Grip’s Optimum Idol is a remake of the every so loved and missed Idol. It features MicroTrax Solid cover and the famous Ikon core with AI tech. I drilled mine 5 x 5 x 3 and this is exactly how I drilled my first Idol back in the day and I was super excited for this one. When I first started to throw it, it reminded me of the original one. It gave me a clean motion through the fronts for a solid but made a nice aggressive motion in the back part of the lane. This ball will be very versatile for me as I will be able to use it on the fresh and as the second or third ball out of my bag depending on the pattern length and volume.
