With everyone else dropping new stuff seems like Roto is keeping things low key....hopefully that means big things!!! But what do you think is next? New Sinster? Reboot for the h2 and h3 line?
-
Bowl expo is the plan. The entire new line got dropped there. Utah tends to be the last company to release info. Also, storm has been spread out with a couple balls at a time working their way up the line. Roto had 5(I think) at bowl expo..
-
When is bowl expo?

When is bowl expo?
June 25-26
-
Just confirmed on their facebook page that new releases will be announced on June 25th.
-
Heard there will be a solid sinister
-
Everyone the last year or so has been moving some of their release dates up. Usually bowlexpo was the info release and then late july early august was the wwrd for purchase.
-
Heard there will be a solid sinister
I think every tier will get a new solid. Solid sinister, something to replace the disturbed and something to replace the rumble. They do a good job of filling there gaps but I still think they need to release products 3 times a year because their lineup can get stale after so long.

Heres the rub, since RG doesn't flood the market, their lineup is "stale" after awhile. And we wonder why balls are released at a rapid pace.
-
You don't have to flood the market to have a decent lineup. I think Motiv does a great job with there releases, 1 or 2 balls every 2 to 3 months. I just think Roto needs 1 more release date there somewhere. Example: even though the wrecker is a great ball it was released almost 3 years ago, same with the uproar about 2 years ago. And they are still in the current lineup.

Except the UpRoar and Wrecker are good/great balls, Patrick Allen used the Wrecker on tonights telecast. New isn't always better.

I totally agree with you, those balls are great but are they still really selling at a high volume? Does the average Joe buy a ball that is good and 3 years old or do they want the brand new flavor of the month release?

Who cares? Tournament after tournament, you're seeing ole reliable, Hyroad, IQ Tour, etc
-
I for one am a big fan of the slower releases from Roto. I'm not one to run out and buy the new flavor. I actually prefer to see the ball rolled a few times in leagues before purchasing. With some of the other manufacturers by the time I start seeing them on the lanes they've already discontinued the ball.
I also don't need every ball available in different surface finishes. I'm perfectly capable of changing the surface on my own balls and I really don't believe that their is as much difference between solid, hybrid, and pearl as they would like us to believe.

I intensely dislike the release schedule set forth by most companies. You're going to keep a ball in your lineup but change the name? Way to screw over pro shops, who are now scared to buy in bulk because they will more than likely be discontinued by end of the season. Even my beloved Break has gone thru several name changes, meanwhile staying in the line for almost 8 years. Why not just keep it the same in the line, release different covers to achieve different reactions, and build name recognition. The Break, with its classic black color scheme, has been the Break, Break Out, Purple Eagle, Black Eagle, now the Black Ops. Exciting new releases, yes. Hard to keep a large overstock because it might be discontinued by seasons end? Yes. The days of the V2, Nitro, Rhino Pro, are mostly gone, and the day of NEW NEW NEW even through its the same thing are here. I respect a slow ball release schedule. Shows thought and a plan, as opposed to an almost predictable High end solid, hybrid, Pearl release schedule. Some companies are more guilty of this than others.

Hy-Road, Primal Rage, and IQ Tour are the lasting pieces. Venom Shovk and GB2 will last as well.
-
I can't believe no one spilled the beans yet.
-
New balls are up on Roto Grip's website.

I am a bit disappointed. Too many solids.

disappointed myself
-
What's wrong with solids.
-
What did you all expect then? Everyone has been talking about a solid Sinister, the hp3 line has never had a shape that the Haywire has, the hp2 hasn't had a solid in a bit, and they replaced the Shout. There will be a hybrid with the late roll 69 in the future. I would love to know what you guys thought should have came out.
-
This is where the problem comes in with only releasing twice a year. It leaves too many gaps in the lines. Like I stated in another post they should release 3 times a year to fully full their lines.

Late roll 69 in hybrid... which may not happen since they went back to the midroll 70 core
-
That just means the old hybrids and pearls are doing good and they'll stay in the line! Most companies have to discontinue last years hyrbrid for a replacement this year just to get sales!!!
The hyper is old and needed so it needed a solid in hp4. The disturbed is gone (right?), the haywire is the next best thing. And ALL IF YOU ARE CRAZY if u don't add a solid wrecker go your arsenal..
-
The SKID is so good, I don't need a new release yet! The only ball that could make it in my bag is the Haywire, but I am not sure when? :-\
-
Can't wait for the Devour!! I'm really happy they're coming out with a solid Wrecker!
-
Just picked up the Ride for Dry, the Sky Rocket for THS and Optimus Solid for Oil. Add these to my Crux Pearl and I don't think I have any holes to fill. I really do like the way Roto Grip used the HP-1 thru 4 to give you a great line up and an easier way to fill the gaps in your game.

I'm getting a devour for sure...
