Totally Defiant good replacement for nano pearl??

Nano pearl got some damage from lanes Wednesday night. Not sure if it can be fixed or not.  I can't find one anywhere except on Ebay where somebody wants 190 for ball.  I was comparing numbers and the Totally defiant looks pretty close to the Nano pearl.  I was wondering if anybody ever threw the Nano pearl and than the Totally Defiant. I already have a skid snap ball in my Hyroad pearl so I really don't want to buy the same type of ball. The Nano Pearl really handles the heavy oil well. When the Hyroad pearl sees oil it goes way too far down lane before grabbing . Nano is perfect to start the night when lanes are a little tight. I would love tohear from somebody who threw both the Nano pearl and the totally defiant. Thanks!

to answer your question, I never had a nano pearl, but I do have a Totally Defiant.  It was VERY good oob.  50-60 games later, it is very condition specific, won't make a good turn in ANY carry down.  mine still has life left, but is only good for clean-crisp backends. 

I would try snagging a Defiant Edge if you could find one.  Or look at the HP3 or HP2 line if you look Roto.  Depending on how strong you need your pearl, the Up Roar looks pretty good to me.  Also, if you can wait, if RG follows typical releases, August may drop an HP4 Pearl, following the typical Solid, Pearlize, Hybrid string

I am a Storm guy but this ball was recommended to replace my Nano Pearl by a friend.Thanks for the info.

Nano pearl and Defiant Edge are both pearls with particles. They will be smoother and handle more oil than a "plain" resin like the Totally Defiant, which will be longer with more backend, if used with the same drilling, thrown by the same bowler. The TD is not a direct replacement for the Nano Pear.

Thank you.  I had a Disturbed but it just didn't work for me. I will look into the Defiant Edge .
