Does anyone have a RS-P ball from roto grip?..I would like to know anything about the ball. Is it good for heavy oil?. Roll early/late?.Whatever info everyone could give me would be much appreciated.

i have one drilled for early length and more hook. i am losing some hand but it comes back fairly well if there are some dry boards to the right, usually play 20-18 to about 5 on normal house shot.. otherwise i'd have to play 10 - 4 on heavy oil. hitting power is exceptional. pins fly everywhere on light hits. carries everything, i do get tapped with 9's and 8 pins mostly. not too many 10 pins. mine is oob condition. do not clean this ball at all. it loves oil in the coverstock. it shines mostly on in between shots where everyone else is struggling i am always high shooter. find the review from bowling this month or order it, they hit it on the head for a change with this ball.
i wish i picked up another and drilled it weaker maybe some polish for medium-dry. i could just see the drool coming off my face as i imagine what this would be like. hmmm maybe i'll go to buddiesproshop.com and look.

by the way, when I say I leave 8 and 9pins mostly,  I mean when I do get tapped every once in a while it's usually one of those pins.  carries tens really well.
has just right amount of lenght with easy to read motion and color of ball makes it easy to read . not jumpy but a controlled hard arc.

I have one drilled and used it on a ths and sport shot this year it was oob polished to matte and it is quite a ball. My all time favorite ball, on the THS it was clean in the front with a strong midlane and just packed a serious punch on the back and would recover from anywhere and carry, on the sport I had to move out and play straighter again the ball was clean in the front with late mid lane roll and hard arc on the back. I could not swing it as much on the sport due to the polish. After the season I resurfaced it on the Haas machine and polished it and as zman stated the cover likes to have some oil and dirt in it to attain it's best reaction. I have 2 more of these gems in the closet waiting to be called up. As for heavy oil I'd say it's more of a med/heavy in box, there are stronger choices for that.
