I had two Black Widows laid out differently.I liked them at first but had carry problems. That was why I had two drilled differently.I also experimented with surface,to no avail.I now own 3 Cells laid out differently. In an eleven day period I have had two sanctioned 300's. I also had one 300 in practice(on two lanes)that included nineteen strikes in a row!The sanctioned 300's were in two different houses and one of them had only had one 300 ever! The practice 300 was in a third house. The Black Widow is a good ball. The Cell is an incredible ball! One customer I have drilled two Cells for likens the Cell to having the impact today that the LT-48 had many years ago. That ball was revolutionary in it's day.The Cell gives me two extra boards at my mark that will both strike! That means I now have three boards to play with. That is HUGE!The Black Widow did not have this effect for me.I can't say enough good things about the Cell.

I have both, laid out with the pin position and cg in the same places, but the MB on the Widow is right of my thumb (negative), and the MB on the Cell is left of it(positive).

The Black Widow gives me more back end pop, and tends to be the ball I like to check the lanes out with.

The Cell for me is a heavy rolling piece, that I can play straighter on patterns that are heavier where the Widow makes it's move too late.

For me anyways comparing the two is like Apples and Hotdogs.  Totally different type of ball.
