Title: Sinister Death?

A lot of people say that this ball tends to die out quickly. Honestly, I have no problem with the ball it will lose hook. My question is, will it still hit the same? And does it only die because of a lack of maintenance?

Idk I clean mine after every set and it's fine.  I see some of that with all balls that are are pearl without polish.   That happened with the lucid for me.  Not the sinister, crux, critical theory etc.

Almost all ball deaths are attributed to lack of maintaining.If you stay on top of cleaning and putting fresh surface on the ball the ball will stay rather true to the original reaction. The ball will never be the same as game 1 of its life. But you can keep it pretty close for a long time.

personally i feel like storm's asymmetric line dies pretty quickly compared to others

As far I can tell, the Sinister looks weaker than most of the other asymethics (not in a bad way)

Quite a few guys are throwing them in my house. I see the core start flaring which is pretty easy to see with the colors, but the cover isn't grabbing right away.

I'm kinda excited to see a new one with a solid cover

I've seen the reaction of some Sinister's and after a while the reactions do seem to dull. The reaction of most balls taper off after a while so I expect the Sinister to be no different. Just ensure you maintain proper ball maintenance.

I agree that a solid Sinister will impress a whole lot of people.

I have a Sinister. As the cover began to get older, it wanted to just become a skid/snap ball for me...and that's with a lot of surface maintenance using my ball spinner. 

I redrilled it from pin up to pin down, and the ball is a lot better now.  Much less skid/snap reaction...it rolls earlier and definitely hits the pins VERY well.  It also corners nicely from steeper angles.

The way I see it, this ball is not a true 50/50 split between pearl/solid cover...it seems to react more like a pearl than a true hybrid.  This core in a true solid coverstock will be a LOT of fun to throw  :D
