RotoRPS
« on: June 18, 2006, 07:10:44 AM »
This is Ryan Press (RotoRPS) and I just wanted to make yo uaware that my BR account appears to have been hacked and deleted/deactivated.

I just wanted to make anyone aware that any emails / posts under my name from the last 24-48 hours were not made by me... they will have been deleted along with the username so I cannot check.

My Paypal account was also hacked and around $430 spent using it.  I have just come off the phone with PP and they have paused the payments, which is good, but as you can imagin I am not the slightest bit impressed!

I have read the posts about other BR posters having the same happen, so i would suggest everyone be vigilent!

Finally - if StevieT300 reads this could you please ring me/email me (not through BR),

Cheers
Ryan

Yeh - my hope is the owners will be able to find an IP address for whoever has accessed multiple accounts!

I to was having problems with the site here it seems to be cleared up now.
2 months ago I started to have bogus e-mails sent about my paypal account which fortuneatly I took up with Pay Pal and suspended my account due to the fact that all the garbage I was sent was not from them. had I responded to the junk I to would have been dupped.

I've got those type of emails before from (supposedly) Paypal, Banks, and Ebay, but obviously deleted them immediatly and never responded..

This was different.  This was someone finding out my password and using it to access my account to buy stuff.
