Sonic X Pearl VS. Blue Hot Flame
« on: August 13, 2003, 11:50:24 PM »
Given the stats on the Sonic X Pearl, would there be any overlap between these two balls?....Or....other than being useful for lighter or shorter patterns, where do these differ?

I'm in the market for a Blue Hot Flame and if the deal goes sour I don't want to have to worry about not getting it.

Sonic had more movement than the Flame. The flame didn't seem to carry as well for our customers. For a med-dry ball I currently believe the Sonic X is the harest hitting best carrying ball I have found. Now saying that I also have bought a Dynothane Barrage as a step down ball. I will punch it up a bit differently to acquire a diff hook shape. You could choose to do this with the Flame if you see enough dry shots.

The thing is I have various med-dry lane condition equipment.  I planned on using the Blue Hot Flame for toast, and since it is weaker overall than the Sonic X is, it would fit better in my bag for my later league.

You wouldn't happen to have any Blue Hot Flames in 16# you'd like to sell would you??

I would get the blue hot flame for toast.  You lose carry, but you get the desired length and backend.

Thanks,

On toast, the Blue Flame's power is quite surprising. On a VERY dry "condition" last year, I stood 30 with my Blue Dot and 40 with my Blue Flame. I preferred the Blue Flame.

blue flame is very long then a nice snap if it finds dry.

Sonic Pearl has an earlier but more rolly move after it's move.
