Title: Staff tests
Post by: Ratt_bowling on July 10, 2015, 05:04:46 PM
How long before the Roto Grip staff testers get the new balls?  I have a better than usual feeling about the Haywire.

I know what you mean. I had a Disturbed, but I sold it when the Hyper Cell came out, and after I did that I wished I hadn't. So I am thinking that the Haywire will be the ball when the H/C is too much. So I am waiting for some staff reviews as well. But if this ball is half as good as the Disturbed was, it will be awesome! It should be better now that they have put the H/C cover on it. It will probably be in my bag by the fall sometime!?

I want the haywire but I didn't match up with that core.  I dig the sinister and wrecker so I'm going with the menace (and dream big) and a devour later this fall..

However I do feel that the haywire is going to be the talked about ball, the tour liked the disturbed, plus it looks cooler.  It's going to selllllllllll!

I've got my order in for a Haywire. I need a ball for oil since I'm starting to do more tournaments.

The Devour looks really interesting and I think would work great for me on house shots

I really want to see how the Haywire compares to the Disturbed. Also how it will compare to the Hyper Cell. So I hope someone chimes in eventually.

Got to throw the new stuff today.

Menace was a little cleaner, smoother than Sinister. Strong move, great continuation

Haywire is a HOOK MONSTER. Roto's version of the Marvel-S but better I think cause it doesn't rev up as quick and burn up. I could see this being ball of the year.

Devour is a homerun too IMO. Definitely a huge upgrade over the Rumble. Cleaner through the front and still plenty of backend. Especially for a solid.

Layouts
Menace 45x4.74x70
Haywire 45x6x40
Devour (low pin) 45x4.75x70 p3 hole
Devour (high pin) 45x6x40

My buddy who is a staffer got his stuff last week. The new balls look great, that Haywire is a beast! He posted some video clips on facebook the past couple days, might be in one of the Bowling groups or something

Unless my eyes are failing me, I believe Kelly Kulick was throwing a Haywire in the step ladder final of the PWBA Wichita Open this past weekend.  The final is available on Xtra Frame and they should be on You Tube soon.  The ball was a beast.  I'm not sure what the pattern was, but her ball reaction was something to behold.
