Title: Super Sonic on dry?

#14 Super Sonic on EBay. BTM has this ball at a 9 on dry. Seems unusual for a solid. Is this ball really that good on the dry? All I use now on dry is pearls, would be interesting to use a solid if it actually works on dry.

Often,for many styles,a solid with the right surface and layout can work very well on dry lanes!

The ball is more for medium-dry.  This ball get down the lane easily, but can make a strong move when it starts to hook.

I have one of these. Wilbert is correct regarding the move this ball will make.

I'd kind of say it is between a Neptune and a Venus, in strength. It depends on the layout you have, and how many revs you put on it.
Also, the amount of oil left on the pattern you're bowling on.

But it is a pretty strong piece. All depends on your opinion of "dry".

I Love mine!  As long as there are strong backends and some friction to find this ball is a killer....

Mine can actually work on oilier lanes too....if there is dry to the sides to start its move off of!

If carrydown the ball labors due to it's low flare potential(drill it fairly strong).  It is a truly a best of breed.  I've had some big practice scores with mine and I've seen a ton of 700s from other guys using this great piece in league.

I have mine at 1500 with first Reacta Shine and then Xtra Shine on it!
I like it better than the Sonic Pearl which many absolutely LOVED.    Same core!

PS this ball is very similar in my mind to the famous Rhino series balls from Brunswick!  One cannot play as deep in the heads but if the line is left for lefty or right for a righty....the carry is awesome!
PPS....ooops...I was referring to a Sonic X solid.  Ummmm the Super Sonic was a good ball....a lot like the Sonic Boom in solid.  I found the Sonic Boom to work great in many houses and then not work in others and the Sonic X solid would work great in those.  The Super Sonic has that same Sonic Boom sharp back end but in solid!  A good ball in SOME houses!
