I don't see those on the Roto list. I do spot a couple new Hustles, Hustle Hot and a Hustle Up. International balls probably.

The interactive approved ball list is only showing the 11/19/2019 update now. The PDF format is more recent and has the Pink Pearl and UFO listed on it.

Interesting is stateside. I wonder if the Pink Pearl would be our version of the Super IDOL...

according to my Mole.

Ufo is the Halo replacement.

Rotos updated micro trax cover  - new core 2k surface.. no specs but im guessing low rg

Pink idol is more than likely a overseas ball - as the mole has not seen one.

"E.T.â„¢ Core = Equalizer Technologyâ„¢ Core... This space aged creation was developed with built in cavities to emulate the use of an extra hole since as of August 2020 the USBC deems them illegal. The built in "Equalizer Cavities" will help increase midlane motion and continuation down lane."

"The newest formulation of our forever famous MicroTrax Technology will create great traction in the heaviest of oils. The MicroTrax-S20â„¢ Solid Reactive coverstock is mixed with a higher nano ratio which means more grab throughout the entire lane."

Interesting.

2.52 RG, .054 DIFF, and .016 MB at 14 through 16 lbs.

Not trying to stir the pot (honestly!), But isn't that the same stuff that Mo got upset about with the Crux?

It is but Mo's patent expired, which is the same reason that Storm was able to reuse the Catalyst Core in the Crux Prime. It also seems to be with a different purpose than the cavity in the Catalyst, at least according to Schlem's post on the reviews for the UFO. I am thinking more tourqey IDOL.

The addition of a balance/extra hole significantly increased the differential of the ball when placed in the correct spot, correct?  Maybe my understanding of bowling related physics is incorrect here but if the extra hole increased the post drilled differential of the ball farther than the gripping holes did, and this new core has a fancy cavity at the bottom of the core that looks like a balance hole but a dif that isn't any higher than any other high end ball, then post drilling how is this different than any other ball without a balance/extra hole?  Please correct me if I'm wrong here, i could certainly be missing something as I'm not a core designer...but that doesn't add up to me as being more than marketing.

Not to say it doesn't look like a good piece.  Asym lightbulb with a nano iteration wrapped around it, can't really go wrong there.  The marketing just doesn't add up to me any I'm curious if I'm the only one.

This is a total gimmick.  Voids inside a bowling ball are illegal per the USBC.  The only way this ball can be approved is if the filler material fills the "cavities" in the core and makes them solid, which makes the whole concept pointless.

Filler material =  less dense than core material so filling hole with filler will not be the same as actual core material.

What they are saying is they designed the core with the concept of..  IF you drilled a balance hole HERE.. this is how much core material would be removed...  if that has any effect or not.. who knows.. at the end of the day its just a core like any other core.

So you can order a ball with the so called "cavity" located in a certain part of the core? Call me doubtful on that one.

It's a gimmick and pretty much the same one that has been used over and over again.

Exactly, it is a core like any other core.  They are basically removing material, then refilling it with filler.  Essentially doing what every sanctioned bowler will be doing with their stuff by August 2020...filling in their balance holes.

Now you can buy a brand new ball that has already had material taken out of the core and "plugged" with filler material from the factory!  Someone could just go buy a ball now, get a huge balance hole drilled in it, and then get it plugged immediately.  Same thing.

Wonder if they will have the drawing of the little alien inside the people like Mo and Phil did.

They wanted a design that can be kept in tact with that super high pin up layout, 4-5" above the fingers, that all of the 2 handers and high rev guys are using.
