Medium to light oil ball
« on: September 26, 2007, 11:03:28 PM »
Hey guys wanted to see what ball you would recommend to get down the lane pretty good with a nice strong consistent backend.  Had considered the venus, saturn, mercury and anything else.  Let me know what you suggest...Medium oil with good backends, to light with good backend

i have a Mercury and its awesome....it will go straight if you let up on the ball,
but if your looking for something that gets down the lane and can corner....i would say go with the Neptune...or maybe the Saturn (polished)

I have all three, but for lighter oil patterns, the Mercury is always first out of my bag.

i have a horizon pearl and the ball has been wonderful.its certainly not made for heavy oil but for medium to medium-light the ball is money.has excellent length and a very predictable backend motion.good luck on your choice.i have a 14lb horizon pearl i am selling for 40.00 including shipping if interested but not many people are using 14 accept for the older guys that don't have the hand that they used to.enjoy.

For me, the Horizon Pearls is WAY to strong for medium to lighter oil.. i find it rolls far to early for this.

I would probably suggest the neptune, or even the Mystic.

My mystic is really my go to ball now, as it has mellowed nicely, and i keep it highly polished.  Smoothest ball in the bag now.

But, Ryan, you have liek 700 RPMs. For the rest of "humans", the HP does cover medium-light to medium and possibly slightly more. It overlaps slight with the Mystic at the top end and with the Venus at the bottom end.
