More debugging than expected.  I was told today I have at least 2 weeks of wait time still.  Unfortunately nothing I can do about it, but again I will let you know when the site is up.  Thanks for the patience.

Thanks,

It's out of Roger's hands; so, how can he commit to 2 weeks?
If the programmers said two weeks, it could be 2 weeks or it could be 4 weeks.
Wait til Roger tells you, posts it here, then go see it. Simple, no?

First off,......Roger isn't in charge so maybe he can't make the deadline happen.

Second, charlest,....you've been grumpy lately!!! WOW !

Thanks for the knock down in chain of command Jeff!
Our situation is a little different and yes I would love for our web designer to have met his deadline, BUT I also realize that our price we are getting for our 2 new sites is about 4x less than what the price should be.  The guy who does our web also has another job and this is part time for him only.  So that is our price for paying such a low price!  Originally it was suppose to take 8 weeks and would have been done by the 1st of April, but we have a lot of things not coming in on time and we are working together with finishing up the websites/2003 catalog so we wanted to launch them at the same time.  I have also had problems getting some other information from outside parties for our new site so I have had a few hold ups on other ends.  I am not waiting any longer though and those other sources are just going to have to have there items left off the site until they get me their information.  I thought the site was going to be done and ready for testing last week, but (using a lot of buts) my designer came in today and told me that he is having a lot of bug problems with his test servers and has assured me I will be able to do last minute testing in 2 weeks.  Unfortunate it is taking this long, but what can you do?  I don't mind all the questions about it, because it shows that people are excited about seeing the new look as am I!  I have said in other posts that I WILL notify everyone as soon as it is ready and I will.

Thanks for all the support!

I was trying to set a weisenheimer straight as to how some pieces of computer programming work.

Grumpy? you ain't seen "grumpy" yet! Just tired of people not thinking and being basically unreasonable. I've been trying to provide a sense of diretcion and timing; it can be difficult.

Roger's trying to be reasonable and people insist on making demands he has no control over. If they didn't know a new website was coming, they'd be happier. He was trying, I'm sure, to make them happier. But, well, people will be people.

Roger's trying to manage the technical end and then combine it with marketing, via some ballreviews postings, a daunting task for experienced people. Managing people's/customer's expectation is a dangerous and challenging job.

Oh so very true Charlest.  Dangling so many different types of responsibilites definitely brings on the headaches.  I don't mind the extra work because it is definitely worth it in the long run.  I am definitely a work-a-holic, no doubt about that one.

Thanks,
