Yes

Possibly, possibly not. The Shift has an asymmetric core of a relatively large mass bias strength, while the Illusion does not. So that is a basic LARGE potential difference.

Illusion is nowhere near as strong a ball as the Gravity. Gravity might be pearl but it handles plenty of oil.

Don't argue with an idiot people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

Could that depend on the bowler's "hand" and the drilling, and not be a factor in the case of every Gravity Shift for every bowler????

Every Gravity Shift I've seen is strong simply because it has a very strong coverstock.  The R2X coverstock used on the Gravity Shift (pearl) and Dimension (solid) is basically the strongest cover Storm's ever used, and even the pearl version is meant for medium-heavy conditions and can handle some carrydown.  The Ultimate Vision pearl cover on the Illusion is more targeted to medium conditions with cleaner backends.
