New balls in July?
« on: April 22, 2008, 02:24:14 AM »
Just thought I would throw this out there and see what comes up.  I understand there will be a new release or 2 in July but does anyone know what Roger has up his sleeve? I know everyone is dying to have a pearl version of the Cell come out and so am I, but a new mid-range ball would be cool.  Maybe something that replaced the Horizon Solid.  What does everyone think?

A replacement for the Horizon Solid seems logical.  How about a light load particle solid coverstock in the mid-price range?

I would like that as I'm starting to like my Epic Quest again since my Cell can't handle tournament type heavy oil.

I would like to see the pearl Cell. Also Roto, how is your Cell drilled? You are the first person I have ever heard say their Cell wasn't strong enough.

I have 2 Cells.  1st is drilled 4 x 4 and the 2nd is drilled 5 x 3.  I meant to say its not strong enough, for me, to handle tournament type heavy oil conditions.

Yeah I understand what you are saying. I have never heard that before. I have found on higher volume shots my Pro CG with the high pin is best because it doesn't waste energy in the oil. But if it is longer oil you want to go with a stronger layout but still I would never place the pin below the fingers. My Cell with the pin 1 1/2 inches above the fingers starts to move at around 35 feet.
