I recently pluggd and redrilled a RotoGrip DefCon I. I laid it out with a "Rev Leverage" drilling from Ebonites Symmetric Layouts Page.
The layout description says to put the weight hole at 6" at a 45 degree angle through the CG from the center of grip. Knowing that this ball flares ALOT i put the weight hole only 3 1/2 inches away to prevent the falre rolling over it.
This ball is not giving me the reaction I was hoping for, actually it does not do much of anything. The DefCon is an aggressive particle ball with a rather aggressive layout. Threw the shot last night in league wiht the most volume of oil that I bowl on (39 feet flatter than THS) and it skated and skated and didnt really bite the dry unless I slowed my speed down.
what should I do or what is the problem here. Could the lack of reaction be from the weight hole being put in the wrong place or what?
This is just a test ball so im not opposed to plugging it up and redrilling it.
