Which cell was the strongest?
« on: March 22, 2012, 12:26:28 PM »
I just purchased a rogue cell. A pro shop had one sitting in there shop.

It is probably the strongest ball I have ever thrown. Was there a cell that was "stronger" overall?

I think many found the Mutant Cell to be a bit stronger in heavier oil and slightly more backend!

However the Rogue seemed to be a little more backend than the original and a VERY great ball.  I love watching my son throwing his.

We were bowling on easy street last night. (I just got the ball drilled and wanted to throw it)

I was only able to keep it left on the headpin once.

I like to swing the ball but this was a bit much. The one strike I threw in the pocket was a ball thrown 25-5.

Will be an awesome ball on heavier shots for me. Will finally be able to move in a bit on heavier shots. Something I have been missing.

I have my Rogue drilled pin above ring about an inch and mass bias strong!  This is an explosive drilling for me and I can strike throwing about the lefty version of above!  Near 20 to 4 and that gives it just about enough room!

Unacceptable, drilling for less probably soon!

I got a great deal on the ball. The pin had become detached from the shell.

I told them the only way to drill it to avoid a big issue down the road was to drill out the pin.

We put the pin in my middle finger and dropped everything straight down from there. Puts the mass bias slightly left of the thumb and blow.

First time I threw it I stood where I usually do and took out the 6 pin (lefty)

I agree with an earlier post, the strongest Cell overall was the Mutant Cell.  However, on a typical shot with fresh heads and tapered mids and clean backends I'd agree with you that the Rogue Cell covered the most boards.  The midlane through backend movement of the Rogue is sick.  A few years back it was a very popular ball at Nationals on the fresh shot as it gave bowlers a great angle into the pocket.  Bottom line is the Rogue Cell needs oil!

I could never throw a Rogue or Mutant Cell. With my low ball speed. I'd hit the 7 pin every time. Dude on my old team threw a Rogue on a THS all the time. Of couse he was 6'-4" and about 250lbs. He normally threw at 20-21 mph!!

My wife throws a Rogue Cell and loves it. She's got about 200rpm's and 15mph. The thing soaks up oil like a sponge, always cleaning and de-oiling it. The funny thing is I had a Mutant Cell and I hardly got any oil out it when I cleaned it.
