Would a pearlized ball help me out??
« on: November 21, 2004, 12:15:39 PM »
I'm using a Fuel right now.  A lot of days I really like this ball.  The days I don't are for these reasons.  Seems like the reaction is all over the place.  It will start hooking way to early, not getting down the lane far enough.  No matter how hard I throw it, or what line I play.  If I were to get a RS-1, would that maybe work for me on nights where my Fuel isn't?  I throw with a good amount of revs and decent speed.  I would want the ball to get a good distance down the lane, and a strong reaction to the pocket on the back end.  Im not looking for a snap, but a strong move.  Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

Well, thats where im kinda dumb with bowling.  I don't know the layout besides it was the second most aggressive drilling on the sheet that came with the ball.

Ok....I'll assume that the Fuel is in box condition, thus your problem with getting it down the lane some days......if that's the case.....yes...an RS1 would be a nice complement to the Fuel....especially if you keep it in box condition and have it drilled the same......it should give you more length and a little more pop on the back........

Hey, thanks.  Yes, it is in box condition.  The Fuel just seems inconsistant to me alot of times.  I threw a 300 a few weeks ago, but last week had a 120 because of alot of odd hits, and splits.  So thats why I thought a pearl ball might help out alot on those days when the Fuel is just not cutting it.  Thanks again!

From what ive read, the RS-1 might be too aggressive for what I want.  I'm thinking of the new Ultra Sonic.  How would this ball compare to a SSP?

i just got a pro stock pearl, and let me tell you, the ball is a beast.  standard label drill, i cant tell you enough how much this ball drives through the pocket.  the pearlized monsoon cover is absolutely incredible, and if youre looking for something with length that still finishes, i dont think you can go wrong with this.  i havent heard alot about the RS-1, but since storm and RG are basically teh same thing, dont overlook the PSP.  its really an amazing combination.
