Wrecker oob

Love the Wrecker BUT it goes a little to long unless I slow my speed down (but still hits hard) I like the sharp movement of it. If I used 3000 or 4000 abralon to take some of the shine off will it lose that snap? would a weight hole make it read earlier? What Im looking to do is have the same reaction but with my normal speed of 16mph.

12,

I used a worn green scotch brite pad to lightly adjust the cover. It does NOT look any different but, it helped it read a little earlier. I'm also around 16 mph.

You can add a weight hole to get it to start up earlier or you can change the surface. Either can be done, it just comes down to what you want. Sometimes a ball can come from the factory with too much shine

From what you say, a surface change is needed to get it to read the midlane properly. I'd start off by hazing the surface with a Scotch-Brite pad (probably the light grey one) first, depending on how far past the breakpoint it is skidding. If hazing ("cracking the surface") doesn't work, then try a fresh 4000 grit pad (Abralon, Siaair, or neaT is good) for about 15 seconds per side.

Try each "fix" thoroughly before jumping to the next one. If necessary, try 3000, then 2000 grit pads. Once you get as low as 2000 grit, you're in danger of making the ball require more oil.
