Is the Wrecker a nice step up compared to the Hectic, or are they still pretty close in reaction?

I'd say they are similar in total boards covered but not similar in reaction. Hectic will give you a little more length and snap but overall they should both be clean through the heads with a nice kick in the dry.

What are you looking for specifically? If you are looking for a good 1-2 house shot maybe a Devour for the fresh with a Hectic for the broken down shot? If you really are looking at the Wrecker maybe bring that to 3000 abralon. That way they would be more complimentary.

I have a Wrecker already and it is much stronger than the price point suggests. The core in the Hectic is much lower in total diff so was just wanting to know if it was worth getting the Hectic too. Would there be enough separation between the 2.

I don't think there would be. I feel like the Loco is a better step down

Agreed. I actually like the Storm Ride as a step down, but the Hectic, depending on how it is laid out, will cover basically the same amount of boards.
