Any experience with Kegel Machine settings?
« on: November 11, 2011, 03:44:38 PM »
Hi guys .. just wondering do any of you know if Kegel Kustodians have a setting for stripping or not oiling the first2 or 3 feet of the lane .. you know, like for leisure bowlers who can't stay behind the foul line.

Just after a quick response if possible, thx.

We have a kegal ion sport at the house I work at, I do all the work on it. Our is programmed to strip the first two feet for just what you are talking about. Doesn't matter what oil pattern your putting down either. Is your machine not doing this or what model is it? I can look through my manual and see if I can find any thing on it.

Thanks Loop .. I just wanted to know whether it was programmed, or happening for some other reason.

We're playing High Street this week (woohoo!) and it seems from Kegel's pattern guide that the oil on the outside boards is only is only 2-3ft and buffed the rest of the way, so I was wondering if this would have an impact on the pattern if (what seems like) the first 3 feet of the pattern are not oiled?

It is weird that it is in fact not oiled those first few feet. And after talking to a few reps it will effect ball motion on the people that lay the ball down early. Have one friend that has been adjusting his style a bit to not roll over it because of inconsistent reactions he was not experiencing before the new kegal machine. Have fun on High street i liked that one. Abby road completely destroyed my game and ego at the same time!!
