So, I've been searching online to see what kind of pricing these are in. Haven't found a single place selling them, so no idea!
I'm asking because, for my game, I've decided to go all the way back to Urethane only. I may not be making that move until next season, but I need to take myself back, and improve my shot-making. I've lost that "touch," and haven't had enough care to try. It'd be good to practice with during the summer, too.

You're kind of late onto the scene for this ball. It's been out for a while now and there was only one limited run of 15 lb. balls. The "LE" part of the name was no joke.
You're probably best off contacting Seismic directly to see if any are available. Buddies used to carry them but even they don't list them any more.

Ah, I figured I was. I saw some original Desperado's on Ebay, and was just curious. Hm. Any other ideas on urethane, then?

Only 200 were made of the Desperado LE. Unfortunately they are all gone, you might find someone who has one undrilled willing to let it go. I have one undrilled stashed away, but not willing to part with it at this time. Maybe down the road, but I do have a single drill with low games I may part with.
I've thrown all the urethane pieces out, Natural, Hype, Avalanche's and the others, and they all hooked WAY too much for me. They all were too early, with the Avalanche's being the strongest for me. The Desperado LE was the smoothest/weakest reaction out of them all. If you can't find a Desperado LE, an older urethane in good condition would be your best bet.

Hm. I'll have to raid my parents' garage and see if any of their old pieces cracked. Gonna cross my fingers and hope not, because I know there's an original Stinger, Blue Hammer, and a lot of older pieces hidden away over there. Cross your fingers for me, I'll find out Tuesday!

I can probably get you one if you like. I think there are 4 left at my distributor here is Canada. PM me if you're interested. This ball is the BEST urethane ball on the market. With the insignia core wrapped with the urethane blend (80% urethane, 20% resin), this ball hits real hard!!

Know this is an old relatively dead topic, but in an update, decided to just start using my Taboo Spare during league. And y'know, that was the most productive thing I've done. Ever.
Got right out of my slump with a 670. The lanes have been THAT dry/burnt. I tried throwing my reactive pieces again, even my Midnight Vibe, and after one game I was at 38 throwing at the right gutter.
After this season is over I'm changing centers, going to one much closer, and that puts out copious amount of oil.
With that being said, tax refund is due in soon, and will be looking to enter Seismic's stuff with either a Dominion, or Stampede, whichever I can find readily available at the moment. Suggestions?
350 RPM, 16 mph at the pins, 5 1/2 right by 1/2 up PAP. On super dry am playing 20-12-5 with a Taboo Spare.
At the house I'm going to, that's where I am with a Track Delta 1 drilled Stacked, and only have to move around mid-second game.

With your specs, if your looking into a "go to ball" or more "benchmark", I would go with the dominion. I am a friend that has the exact same specs as you and I drilled him a Dominion 3 weeks ago, he hasn't shot under 720 with it. He describes the hitting power as to NO other ball he's had (we are talking about a guy that been bowling like me for 20+ years). I changed the out of box surface (which I think is a little rough) and went 2000 & 4000 abralon, the ball is a beast. His is drilled 70x3x20...I've got one with the same surface and the ball just finishes quite strong but very easy to control. From what you are stating in the new center your going, this would be your best choice.
...if your looking for more ball with more midlane then the stampede is a great choice. I've got 2 of those with 1 out of box and the other with polish on it and that's all I needed in a tournament 2 weeks ago.

The one thing about the center is it's always oiled consistently, which is a major plus for me.
The center I'm currently at is sporadic, you never know what you're going to be throwing on, which was good for having to learn to move and adjust. But now that it's getting to the point I can't throw anything but my plastic with a core, it's just not as fun. I like to be able to throw a variety, as weird as it sounds. Plus it makes me feel like I wasted a lot of money.
Anyway, I'm going with a Dominion for sure, and might be getting a Brutal Nightmare as a heavier ball, because I want to try both Seismic and DV8. Trying to branch out a little.

My specs and pap are nearly identical to yours and I think you will be very happy with the Dominion, it is the best ball that I have ever thrown. I still have mine at OOB and can play pretty much anywhere on the lane with it and it is smooth as silk. I have it drilled pin down with the cg swung out and it still gets down the lane great and the carry is as good as anything out there. Get yourself a Blackout to go with it and you can cover pretty much anything you will see in a typical league scenario.

Out of curiosity, how much does taking it to 4000 grit over the 500 grit change the reaction? I know it will push it further down, but does it make it more snappy? Or does it help graduate further down?

OOB looks to be 500/4000 and it is not at all snappy, I think if you went through the grit progressions to 4000 it would push a little farther down lane and have a little sharper back end. This is just a guess as I love mine at OOB and have not wanted to change it yet. For this cover being a hybrid of two of their weaker pieces(Blackout and Euphoria) it is a perfect match for the Insignia core... very impressive power.

I have my dominion drilled with pin over the ring finger mb out about 1 inch 500 abralon with Storm polish over the top and it is still not even close to snappy. Check out my vid if you wanna see it in action

It comes in today! I'll be getting it drilled up after work, and I'll post with results! I'll try to get a video, but no guarantees.
Going to go pin above ring, to try and keep it even rolling for me.
