The Desperado is an amazing piece! Due to it's asymmetrical core and the silicone additive in the cover it makes a very defined move at the break point and has excellent hitting power. Even with my slow speed (11.5 mph) I am able to play pretty straight on cheetah. It in my opinion will be quite a bit stronger than the Avalanche. For me it fits perfectly under my polished Hype urethane.

I would also go with Desperado stronger my high end core can create a little better carry.

I'm hoping the Avalanche urethane allows to play straighter than my Desperado and to be a step down.
