Title: Equalizer mini-review!
Post by: Tripcee on July 17, 2014, 08:58:19 PM
Shot: Fresh Med/Heavy House, 40 ft.
Brunswick Lanes.
Revs: Med-high
Speed: High

Went with a pin-over-ring, slightly canted to the left drilling line. CG Was way out of line on the original specs, but in the end serves for the better.

All I can say about this thing is "Wow." It's...Well. Strong. Just freaking strong.

Stand-Lay Down-Arrow-BP
With my Venator I started out throwing it 25-20-15-8, slamming the pocket. Thought that I couldn't get much more. Stampede, 23-18-13-5, slamming. Good backend.

This was before the EQ came along. So. Where did I start? I started throwing where I would with the Venator. Ball came up high, left a 4 pin.

And wouldn't you know it, the line that played out best, fullest pocket...
34-29-18-8
Oh. My. God.
It pushed through the front like it was nothing, but once it found the mid, it was churning. Finding the dry boards it decided it wanted to move. It was VERY workable inside of where I moved to, but it just looked so beautiful where I decided to be comfortable.

I was able to work the 10 board, due to the oil, but 9 pins were getting messengered, so just too much entry angle.

Extremely happy with the product! First game out of the box was a 289. Second? 268. Third? 279. I was shaking when I left from throwing it. I haven't had this sort of feeling or matchup with a ball since the original Widow. So here we go!
